The beach is considerably less crowded than Monterosso's Fegina in peak season, the water is clear and calm, and the town has a promenade, restaurants, and shops that provide everything a family needs for a full day. The train from La Spezia takes 20 minutes; from Riomaggiore (the southernmost Cinque Terre village) the journey is 35 minutes with one change.
