Agios Stefanos, just north of Mykonos Town and the New Port, is the most conveniently situated family beach on the island — a ten-minute walk from the ferry terminal and a twenty-minute bus ride from the town centre, with calm protected water and a pleasant beach village offering accommodation, restaurants, and basic beach facilities. The beach faces north into the sheltered channel between Mykonos and the Delos archaeological site, making it naturally protected from the prevailing winds and providing consistently calm swimming conditions. The proximity to the port makes it practical as a first or last day beach, and its genuine local-resort character — as opposed to the international-luxury character of the southern beaches — gives it a more authentically Greek atmosphere.
