The canyon has natural river pools ideal for freshwater swimming in summer — cool, crystal-clear water flowing over smooth rocks, with canyon walls rising steeply above. The pebble beach at the canyon mouth, where the river meets the sea, receives almost no tourist traffic despite being within easy reach of Alanya's resort strip. A small restaurant operates at the river mouth in summer; the canyon walk upstream takes 30 minutes and is one of the most striking natural walks on the coast.
