Shibuya Sky Observation Deck

Opened in 2019 atop the Scramble Square tower adjacent to Shibuya Station, Shibuya Sky offers something Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree cannot: an open-air observation deck with no glass between you and the view. At 229 meters, the rooftop SKY STAGE platform is exposed to the elements — wind, sun, rain — and provides 360-degree unobstructed panoramas over the city.

Directly below, the Shibuya Scramble Crossing is visible in miniature — the famous scramble intersection where thousands of pedestrians cross simultaneously. At dusk, the view of the city lights extending to Fuji on clear days is extraordinary. The indoor observation floor below also offers excellent views with more comfort. Book tickets online in advance (especially for sunset slots which sell out); last entry is typically 10:30pm.
