Top Beaches in Boracay

White Beach

The undisputed star of Boracay. Divided into three stations, White Beach stretches for 4km along the island's western coast. Station 1 (northern end) is the most upscale and serene, Station 2 is the heart of dining and nightlife, and Station 3 offers budget-friendly options. The beach faces west, making it one of the best sunset beaches in Southeast Asia.

Puka Shell Beach

Located on the northern tip of the island, Puka Shell Beach is the antidote to White Beach's bustle. Wider, wilder, and significantly quieter, it takes its name from the puka shells scattered along the shore. The water is choppier here — better for those who love the drama of big waves than for swimming.

Bulabog Beach

The east-facing Bulabog Beach is the kite-surfing and windsurfing capital of the Philippines. From November to April, the Amihan winds turn this beach into a world-class watersports venue. The Boracay International Funboard Cup, one of Asia's premier kite-surfing competitions, takes place here annually.

Diniwid Beach

Just a short walk north of Station 1, Diniwid Beach is a small, secluded cove framed by rocks. It's quieter, more intimate, and still has that same extraordinary White Beach sand quality. Perfect for couples and those wanting to escape the crowds without leaving the island.

Best Time to Visit Boracay

Peak season runs from November to May, with the driest and calmest conditions from December to April. June to October brings the Habagat (southwest monsoon), which can bring heavy rain and rough seas — many establishments close during this period.

How to Get to Boracay

Fly to Caticlan Airport (MPH) or Kalibo Airport (KLO), then take a 15-minute tricycle ride to the jetty, followed by a 15-minute ferry crossing to Boracay. Caticlan is closer but has fewer flights; Kalibo is further (2-hour bus transfer) but often cheaper.
