Cancún, the farewell party

Today, Sunday, I took the 9 am ferry back to Chiquilá and at 10:30 am a colectivo for 250 pesos to Cancún for my last night in Mexico, this time I'm staying at the Selina Playa in Cancún's hotel zone, which has lovely facilities. The Frenchwoman Isabel and the Mexican Tatiana, who were in Playa del Carmen and had already come to see me in Bacalar, came to meet me on Sunday in Cancún to say goodbye.

At 3 pm, after checking in and having the welcome drink at the Selina, we went to Forum beach for a dip, and since it was Sunday the beach was full of locals having big picnics with packs of beer and bottles of tequila.

At 6 pm we went back to the Hostel Selina for Happy Hour and to watch the sunset, as the hotel had a prime view over the lagoon where you could watch the sun go down. It was almost 9 pm when we went to dinner at the restaurant Taboo, a restaurant with good food, a refined atmosphere, good music and lots of buzz.
