On Monday I woke up at 6:30 am, 3 hours after going to bed, and went with Sarah, getting a lift in Tatiana's car, who kindly offered, despite the few hours of sleep we'd had, to take us to the ADO bus terminal in Bacalar for the Valladolid bus, which left at 7:50 am. I had paid 363 pesos for the ticket because I'd bought it in advance, back on Saturday when I arrived in Bacalar.

This time I didn't take the colectivo because I'd have had to change buses 2 times and it would take a long time. The trip was smooth and I got to Valladolid around 12 noon.

I set off once again without a hostel booking and, when I arrived, I went with Sarah to Hostel Candelária, which was near the bus terminal, and we stayed there. At the hostel we met a Dutch woman called Romee who had travelled on our bus and who joined us for the rest of the day.

The 3 of us went for lunch that day at Bar Burrito Amor and then went for a walk around the city at our own risk. Towards the end of the afternoon, we found out there was a free walking tour of the city and took the opportunity to learn a bit about the history of the monuments and the city.

In the evening we went to dinner at the restaurant L'Kaat, a vegetarian restaurant where I had a quinoa, spinach and cheese risotto, and we ended the night at Mezcalería Don Trejo.
